2 Peter 1:2 NLT says:
“May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.”
This means God’s grace and peace is given to us in levels or degrees. The word ”knowledge” in this verse has to do with experiential knowledge, not just intellectual knowledge. This refers to knowledge that is practiced in our thoughts and behavior (not perfectly, but consistently and increasingly over time).
The more we implement God’s knowledge into the way we think and behave the more grace and peace He gives us. Simply put as our obedience increases so will our grace and peace.
The continuum of grace and peace runs congruent with the continuum of knowledge and obedience. So practice what you learn about God and Jesus, more and more. Then watch God give you more and more grace and peace. This is one of the ways God affirms our process and progress. So let's get to work and level up!
Please note: The quality and quantity of your knowledge about God and Jesus will affect your results.
